Iron Frontier Command

★★★★☆ 4.3 Editor rating

Iron Frontier Command asks you to build, defend, and expand across procedurally shaped maps. It's slower and more thoughtful than most mobile strategy games, and it never nags you to log in daily. You set your economy, scout the terrain, and commit to a plan — then watch it survive contact with the enemy waves.

We appreciated how the difficulty comes from real decisions rather than artificial timers. Do you rush an early expansion or turtle up behind walls? Both work if you commit. The interface is a touch cramped on smaller phones, but the pause-and-plan pacing forgives fat fingers.

It runs entirely offline, and single maps take twenty to forty minutes, which fits nicely into an evening. There's a decent campaign plus a skirmish mode for one-off matches.
